South Korea Palaces

I had three hours sleep, the humidity, street noise and time difference all contributed. I wanted to have a nice early start to the day, I rolled out of bed at 12pm. The metro is quite easy to use in Seoul, so I decided to explore Gyeongbokgung Palace first. It’s the most famous and well known palace in South Korea.

The next stop was a 15 minute walk away Changdeokgung palace and the secret garden. The secret garden can only be entered with a guided tour and lasts 1 1/2 hours. I only just made it to the connecting gate 2 minutes before it closed.

I was so tired and wanted to go to sleep but ventured out to Deoksugung palace and watched the sunset.

Since travelling I’ve become more interested in learning about the history rather than taking a selfie. Don’t get me wrong I still take a gizzilion pictures but it’s not the most important part of my trip.
