Learn to Forgive Yourself

Since backpacking I have been trying to force myself to budget. Making cut backs here and there. I’m not the best at maths but always been a good saver (how else do you think I could afford to jet set?)

Lately I feel like I’ve not been budgeting at my best. I’ve had to spend around £160 on a new rucksack, £50 on parcelling the old one back. Food in Asia hasn’t been as cheap as expected. I’ve spent £26 on a taxi as there was no other way to get to my accommodation.
Part of me is wondering how long I can enjoy the adventure on a budget. I still want to be able to do things but it’s the costs that you don’t always expect that beat your bank balance.
At the same time, it’s my first time backpacking and it took a while for me to take the plunge and leave my job for the opportunity to travel. So even though it can be hard on your own with no one to vent to, you should always forgive yourself. Safety first!!!
